You will need to get something stating from the Dr that she did this for a research trial and that nothing was wrong. It will need to be something different than just her records. You're right coposcopy or whatever is performed for dysplasia to freeze the pre-cancerous cells.

I had the Exact same thing happen with Coventry 2 months ago. Declined for abnormal pap smear. Luckily I got this lady covered by UHC with immediate issue.

Update : Coventry has requested a new application and overturned their original decision. That is the craziest thing I have ever heard. My only assumption is that NO ONE looked at the supplemental information sent in.

I guess this is the 1% of when the client is right and not the insurance company.
