So The City of Industry in California is apparently paying through the nose for health insurance coverage for its employees – to the tune of an average of $42,770 per its 33 covered employees in 2014. That’s about 3 times what the city of Los Angeles pays, and about $20,000 more per year per employee than Sonoma, the city with the second-highest cost for health coverage in California, pays.

The coverage is through Aetna, and even some low-level/part-time employees who make less than $9,000 per year from the city are covered. And 12 employees were at more than $57k annually or $4,800 per month. What gives here?
