Can We Still Enroll OFF Exchange Enrollees After April 15?

I just had a 50 year old call me (not a freeloader) who is interested in health insurance for himself. Does an OFF have to abide by the same SEPs and OEP that an ON does?

The answer is yes...................only a few states have outside OEP (non SEP) opportunities. Put them in a short term Major med if possible until next OEP (still will owe the penalty).

I don't think TX has an alternative.

NV - year round OEP (90 day waiting period)
AZ - has one Co-Op carrier offering year round OFF exch enrollment.
Other states have outlier situations too.
