Have You Gotten Paid on Your "On Exchange" Sales?

Most carriers are saying they have not received a dime yet from the gov't. Unbelievable! I guess they are waiting for my tax payment today.

I'm pretty sure it's because they still haven't built the "back end" yet.

Last we heard, they hadn't even started it as of the "tech push" to get the site working. We haven't had any word on them completing it, and they've had a bunch of changes as far as contracts/programmers in the interim. Considering they like to announce anything positive, I'd wager it doesn't exist.

Millions will not be paid right away if at all. I currently work as a supervisor for the marketplace. WHen you call i'm on the other end. The majority of all enrolled have an issue and have to be re-enrolled and cancelled. many agents try after the fact to add their numbe rto get credit for the enrollment anyways.
This is the most crooked thing I have ever seen, or been a part of.

It already has fallen in the toilet. WHen the company told it's employees there was going to be a massive layoff of marketplace employees (1600+ from my center) hundreds walked off. The "real" reason you get so many holds and "specialists with 2 hour hold times is there are only 3-400 people manning the phones for the marketplace which should be more along the lines of 2500-3000.

If I were any of you selling healthcare I would NOT sell ANY marketplace plans, and would move to another career if that was my only option. You WILL lose credibility and customers if you take part in this fraudulent marketplace.
If you are only in this for a quick buck go for it, just hope you don't meet anyone in an alley afterwards.

FYI, every broker I've spoken with has indicated that they've had clients with issues that contacted the carrier or exchange directly for assistance. Clients were told to just re-apply, and when they did, the broker was kicked off.

I don't mean one or two, some of my associates lost 20-30% of apps. They are now manually going through the commission statements, comparing it to their record of what was written, and addressing the cases 1 by 1 with the carriers.

Yep thats a fact. Exchange employees cannot give information, add agents or brokers without passing disclosure. If the consumer says there is an issue and the way to fix it is a new application there is no information on the screen saying there was an agent involved. If teh consumer doesnt say or know all the information the agent will get dropped from the comsumers application. It happens 500 times a day here if not more.

I suspect there is no auto renewal of health plans or subsidies come 2015. Everyone who bought this year will have to buy again for next year. No broker information will be transferred over.

Not true there is an option for the consumer to have the marketplace renew for up to 5 years, which most people have chosen to do.
