You really think that people that have put off finding information on insurance for this long will file their taxes far enough before the deadline to even make the OEP?

Last minute people are last minute people. They'll find out about it in April when they finally get around to their taxes, and discover they can't do anything about it until next year. Lesson learned, and probably a whole lot of anger.

A slight flaw in your logic there. Many of the people who have put it off are eligible for refunds. That crowd files as soon as they possibly can in order to get the refund.

Exactly...those people are already getting their taxes done, so they can file on the 31st

The young and dumb that I know don't even talk about it. It seems to be a none issue.
