News to Me, Up to July 1 Marketplace SEP for Dropping COBRA

"The two-month window mirrors a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) ruling announced May 2 that allows COBRA enrollees to buy plans through the federal exchange up to July 1.
The federal policy for the COBRA special-enrollment period was approved amid concerns that notifications did not give consumers clear information about options in the new marketplace. HHS encouraged state exchanges to follow suit."

Being in a federal exchange state, the Fed rules apply for my clients, as quoted above.

Thanks Quotebroker, and everyone. I have a prospect who wanted to make a comparison between COBRA at the group's July 1 renewal date. Now a meaningful choice can be made. The existing plan still may be best, but either way, there are options!

Oh, and in case anyone needs to have evidence for exchange or carrier reps, this announcement is actually showing on healthcare.gov. Here's the link again, from my OP. https://www.healthcare.gov/what-if-i-currently-have-cobra-coverage/
