This bill has a 2% chance of being passed into law.

Completely out of context-their comments are as follows:

This bill has a 2% chance of being enacted.

Factors considered:

The overall text of the bill does little to affect its chances of being enacted. Although this bill has a low chance of enactment, there is 1 provision within this bill that the provision-level textual analysis considers likely to be enacted. There are often multiple bills with the same legal provisions within them. The bill's primary sponsor is a Republican. The bill is assigned to the House Ways and Means committee. The bill's primary subject is Health.

Since there is only ONE provision in the bill (12 months for STM) it means they expect it to be passed, just under a different bill.

Here is the body of the bill:

To prohibit implementation of the revised definition of short-term, limited duration insurance in order to permit such insurance to provide up to 12 months of coverage.
1.

Short title

This Act may be cited as the "Affordable Limited Health Coverage Act".
2.

Prohibiting implementation of the revised definition of short-term, limited duration insurance in order to permit such insurance to provide up to 12 months of coverage

Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Secretary of Health and Human Services, the Secretary of the Treasury, and the Secretary of Labor may not take any action to implement, enforce, or otherwise give effect to the final rule, entitled "Excepted Benefits; Lifetime and Annual Limits; and Short-Term, Limited-Duration Insurance" (81 Fed. Reg. 75317–75319, October 31, 2016) insofar as such final rule relates to a revised definition of the term short-term, limited duration insurance and the Secretaries shall implement, enforce, and otherwise give effect to the definition of such term applied by the Secretaries immediately prior to the publication of such final rule.

Still waiting for this to become law... :daydream:

Better than nothing if passed but STM really isn't health insurance in my book. Way too many holes and the premium has gone up with regular health premiums.
