I'm in Washington State and working with the Governors office and Exchange Executives.

They asked me to do some research into which states pay agents a commission or fee for signing up Medicaid clients...

Honestly they should know, but wanted to start here.

Currently WA doesn't pay commissions, but is looking into doing so.

California does. I think $25.

CA is $58 per application so long as it is only Medi-Cal. If any of the family members go to subsidy through the exchange, no comp on the Medi-Cal portion (ex. kids to Medi-Cal, parents to enhanced Silver).

My office has done about 25 Medi-Cal enrollments in Ca since 1.01.14. Still waiting for a check. At this point, I've written it off has charity work.

Were they straight Medi-Cal only? I got a check a couple of months ago as did several other agents I talked to.
