I HOPE that the Republicans "grow a pair" and come down on the side of American ingenuity.

But if they don't - no worries.

The best that the Democrats can do is an admission of guilt. They broke "it" by design. Most of them were too dumb to realize it but most of the left doesn't get free enterprise anyway in any form.

So as a society we may have to suffer the consequences of socialized medicine for some period of time.

That will probably kill more liberals than conservatives and usher in a new era of free choice in healthcare.

Socialists don't produce - don't create - they steal.

When there is nothing left to steal...

They go away, so...

"Stay the course"

The sharing of risk is a choice that works. Insurance works. Obamacare, in any and all iterations, does NOT.

Don't buy into the BS. Tell the story of free choice and free enterprise.

WE are on the right side of history. Tell people

Students........what we have here is a far left comment, followed by a far right comment.

The right defines a fail as prices doubling and carrier options dwindling from 14 down to 1.

The left defines success as survival, by having at least 1 option, and huge APTC to offset the premium doubling.

You decide.

And, I think it's cute that there's some folks who are hopeful for the smell of bipartisanship.
I consider both of those as fails. Apparently that proves how centrist I am.

Seven years and no plan. We need everyone enrolled to cut per member premium. That's all. Mandate didn't work as was expected.

I had 7yr old child on an underwritten plan for $36/month for $5000 ded 100% plan. Premiums went to over 200/month at age 15 under ACA. Single mother makings $20k aint gonna pay $7200 before tax, food and rent for 3 kids. We might as well admit it and get them out of the ER.

Our healthcare procedure prices are stupid high. Dentist wants $1200 for a crown which is a nickel worth of ceramic and an hr of work. Hips and knees are upwards of $50,000.

That's the price of the a bought and paid for Congress.

I do not agree with the blanket comment bought and paid for congress however I do agree, suprisingly with the rest of the junkyard dogs remaining comments.... which brings me back to this:

Control the cost and you control the cost, problem solved.

Health Insurance is nothing more than "a line of credit" extended to the client, nothing more, nothing less, period. If you control the cost(provider fees) you control the cost(insurance premiums), its about that simple.

What Tater said.

Hence, TX docs make a lot more than AZ docs, so the premiums are priced accordingly.

(And the 25% uninsured rate also drives up our premium, but lets not go there)

Look for groups with 50% participation. Get a census of all, quote the entire population. Likely the young have opted out. Keep total employer contribution the same or slightly lower than most recent or next renewal offer.

Also, groups that termed and dumped everyone onto ACA are good prospects.

Then we only need to deal with trend. Paid for Congress isn't much help there. We do not want carriers to write stripped down plans or we'll be back to pretending to be covered. I'd rather not have coverage for $0 than think I do for real $$.

Seems only 2 people (7% of total) bet on repeal and/or replace being passed.

We'll find out today in the Senate, starting soon. GO CSPAN !

Best idea as fall back position is to simply implement the same insurance options as Congress. We haven't paid for the wars. Why bother to pay for the healthcare implementation? McCain shouldn't have government paid for brain surgery while my friend dies because she's dropped under the crap the Repubs come up with.

Sorry to see McCain go. Still, he shouldn't continue to be the swing vote. Trump and even my Congressman DesJarlais I have less regard for.
