Is Your Subsidy Applicant Different Than Your Typical Client?

Prepare yourself to do a lot of hand holding. Many, especially those new to insurance coverage, have no idea what a copay is or how premiums are paid. I feel like a school teacher. In summary, it's great to make a difference but you will be required to spend more time with this segment of clients and follow-up customer service is even more vital. I find that many don't understand the letters they receive or billing. Add to this formula, a language barrier and it's a labor intensive client. Not everyone can do it but I was made to serve this very population.
