I received some good information yesterday from Wellpoint/Anthem.

B.O. as you might know it pissed off with the insurance industry because the way his mother was treated. Health Care is his number 1 domestic issue.

He is looking at health care as "Cost of Care" He wants to reduce the cost of care. As everyone has heard about the players in the industry stating they will reduce health care by 2 trillion in 10 years. They have to do this or B.O. could come down on the entire industry. Ya think our commissions are going to get reduced?

The one payor system is off the table because there is no way to fund it. The house is bluffing with their BS one payor.

The battle is going to be in the Senate.
Get ready for the terms like "Health Care Exchange"
The program is where small groups from 2-10 live would be eligible for a subsidy type group plan. Even if the employer has a private group plan in place the employees can still elect to go on that play. (kiss small group good bye) The Gov. is going to allow a commission on these group but it will be regulated much like Medicare. Lobbyist are trying to get this health care exchange for groups 2-5 lives not the 10.

Another term that will be on the radar is "Competitive Effectiveness" This means that there will be one governing contract for what health insurance must cover for the entire country.

It is expected that the health insurance benefits will be taxed for any company with a payroll over $500,000. The benefits will be taxed after $12,000 in premium on a individual or family.

The health insurance industry is willing to address the uninsured in this country. The estimate that the real numbers of people who need that cant get it is around 15 million. They are suggesting they would give premium assistance and guarantee issue to this people if there are mandate that everyone has to have a policy.

B.O. have allocated
SCHIP 32 billion
Medicaid 87 billion
Health Care IT 19 billion

He is having a hard time funding these huge number and there is no way he fund a one payor system and he knows it.

Our industry is going to survive but we all will be making a lot less in the individual and small group health markets.

June 1st is the expected date of the first policy reform bill to hit the house. Pelosi is bs and will not have a bill ready by July 1st as she claims.

Let us help the savants at Wellpoint/Anthem to arrive at the correct analysis of why Tunklehead has made health care reform such a high priority.

First. Obama is a European style socialist. It just comes natural in the same way that his financial crisis fixes all went in that direction. He has no private sector experience and is not surrounded by anyone who does and really does not value it much. It really is that simple.

Second and foremost. Hillary Clinton.
Obama has never really had the choice of not being obsessed with health care reform. His number one opponent nemesis was right out front with the issue even before the get-go with him. His duty was to surpass her in zeal about the issue should he wish to prevail which he did.

Hillary is ever present in his psyche. She poses the greatest danger to him both in the past and in the future. She will want to be president as long as she is alive and may in fact achieve that goal. It would not surprise me a bit to see her step down from her lackluster Secretary of State job and re-run for the Senate to be where the action is and to be her own man rather than a house dog kept under control by Obama. If Obama is still in Afghanistan and we have not achieved universal health care as we go forward she is going to be right in his face come election time and she carries a lot of votes and lot of the libs still want to see the first woman president. It is a probable scenario? No. Are the odds high enough that he needs to watch his backside. You betcha.

So yes, to the savants at Wellpoint and Anthem. Obama's mother is a factor.....but realistically he has no choice but to make it happen does he? Wouldnt the Ice Queen like to see him drop the ball on this one. Blood in the water.
