Help in North Carolina

I am a newly licensed health agent in NC after spending the past 26 years in the commercial banking arena. I am interested in starting my own internet based independent agency. I've done a lot of research and am close to pulling the trigger but I keep coming back to one major problem. BCBS is not appointing agents for their individual lines. Based on my experience and knowledge of health insurance in this state, not being able to offer BCBS is a major problem in my opinion. They are extremely prevalent in this state.

Does anyone have advice for me? Could I affiliate with an agency or company that can write for BCBS and still retain independence?

See if you can not get contracted with BCBS thru....

I would try BM....at the time I contracted with BCBS it was the same story.....but got it done thru BM.....

Yes.....at the same % with going straight with the company.....
