Solar Panel Coverage?

I'm assuming that once solar panels are attached to the house they become part of the property and are covered, but how do carriers treat that? It's not hard to make a $20k investment in solar (especially if you do battery backups and grid-tie), so would you need to do anything other than maybe bump your replacement cost up?

Well it all depends on what company you have some cover solar panels at %100 and some exclude coverage for wind and Hail so you have to call your particular insurance company and ask them.:swoon::goofy:

If you bought the panels, you add the value to the dwelling amount, if you leased the panels, its the lessors responsibility
