Nope, doesn't look like its gotten the final touches just yet. The reviews don't mention a high-risk pool formation, which is what I thought they were going for.

The 'across state lines' thing is problematic. I guess neither party really understands the issue. I understand the attraction to this, but it shows they are not serious, unless the actual wording is different.

This would have unintended consequences written all over it. Anyone who knows anything about this would see the red flags.

Much of the other items are decent.

I read this summary in less than 2 minutes.

I hope to finish HR 3962 before Christmas.

I agree with you on the interstate sales. It accomplishes nothing. Shows how little the folks in DC know about the industry.

Of course it doesn't say HOW it will lower premiums while at the same time INCREASING access to affordable health care. And like many, they are conflating health insurance with health care.

Expanding risk pools (where the are available) is a great idea.

This bill has potential, but I wonder if it will ever see the light of day. Princess Pelosi and Prince Harry will continue to do everything they can to squash this attempt at reform.

I am reading that the MSM is taking note of the ever growing size of health care reform bills. At almost 2000 pages, the latest behemoth is frightening.

The main issue is it's impossible to be for or against something you can't comprehend.

Logic doesn't work either when you are talking about lawmakers in Congress. If it did, they would never spend more money than they have on hand and certainly wouldn't continue to entertain even more expenditures in the face of a deep recession and dwindling tax receipts.

I can't name a single state that is not cutting back on expenses and laying off employees. Yet DC is growing bigger every day.

Something is terribly wrong with that picture.

What is worse is that most states are not cutting back as much as they should. They used stimulus funds to plug their budgets so they either face a huge, huge shortfall when the stimulus funds end or else we will need to have another stimulus package.

Here is the Republican health care bill. Something must be wrong. This is only 219 pages, not 1990.

Apparently they forgot something.

Like all the bureaucracy, cost, pomp and circumstance, . . .
