So I get the most recent issue of Life Insurance Selling, and there's an advertisement for Tim Austin (ne: Brian Kay's CA$H selling system for insurance agents to transform! their businesses to college planning businesses) and once again, for the (maybe) 7th straight year in a row, this guy wants to tell us all "How I Made $748,653 Last Year" - wow!
How exactly does he do that? Never $658,920 or $870,236, it's always $748,653! Every year! Never changes!

Amazing!!!
What is amazing that he can still afford to advertise! I guess people are actually buying his system?
When he hits that exact number in February of each year he goes back to his day job of being a greeter at Wal-Mart.
These people and all those like them sure have an extremely low opinion of insurance agents degree of intelligence don't they! They are among the biggest bottom feeders in this industry.
They spent their earlier years screwing clients, got tired of that so figured they would screw their fellow agents for a while.

Anybody that falls for it probably deserves what they get. Caveat emptor. (James - that means "let the buyer beware").
As long as agents think there is an "easy" way or some secret formula to make a lot of money in this business places like that will continue to get rich.
There are agents out there that will piss away untold amounts of money on the most obvious crap rather than accept the fact that selling insurance is work.

Frank, I have a system that DOES work.
It's the magic appointment getting candle. If you light the candle at 8:30 in the morning and sit in front of your candle and make phone calls until the candle burns itself out, you will magically have appontments for the next 3-days. It really really works. And for you today, it's only $299 shipped right to your door.

I want one, I want one. If I order a months supply, 30, can I get a quantity discount.
Well, James, you do a great job of keeping M&M and me employed correcting your grammar and spelling, I really do appreciate it.
Only problem I have with you is when you correct when no correction is called for. You must of recieved your Grammar/Spelling Police License at Kmart? Oh well, it keeps the heat off of others, I'm such a martyr!
Some how, Brian Kay has my email address and about every other day there are only 10-20 spots left on some tele-seminar about something or another. God bless the delete button.

Not so, James. I make a correction only when necessary---although I admit I let quite a bit slip by if they are not egregious. I received my license at a world -class university.
Please, James, the world doesn't need another martyr! I do admire your knowledge of life insurance, and I enjoy your discussions on the subject despite the numerous grammar and spelling errors.
Keep up the good work.

No, I make a good martyr and the world always needs another. As for making corrections wrongly, you do, but it's okay, it is all good.
Ps, just came back from what is looking like my sale of the year! Life is Good.
