I having few questions?
First one How can anyone give guaranteed SEO placements in Google?
How do people on GAF(get a freelancers) work on backlinking project where they promise to get backlinks from PR4, 5, 6 sites actual pagerank pages not domain pagerank?
How these people on several online freelancing sites claim such things and where do they find such high PR backlinks for their clients?

Its always best to do the tedious stuff yourself. Sure, it takes longer, but you have complete control over the content etc...
The big tasks like SEO and Web Design...let the experts like Dave and Val handle it.
I'll gladly do SEO and Web design for anyone. I should tell you that my results will be about 70% less than most others and I charge an upfront non-refundable fee of $1500.
I don't have a portfolio yet, but my work speaks for itself.

No one can guarantee SEO ranking just like a teacher can't guarantee you'll get an A. A good teacher will give you the education necessary to obtain an A, the rest is up to you.

I agree. Since I am in far and away the toughest market in the country for health insurance my flight has been the toughest. I was told that if I worked my butt off I would probably if not definantly wind up on page one of the targeted search terms. It takes hard hard work. lots of articles submitted to the premo sites and regular blog postings. Doing that stupid social networking crap which i hate like hell.
You want to get "home" then it takes a lot more than just SEO'ing a web site
If you people will do EXACTLY, 100% TO A TEE what dave or any other guy that operates like he does says. u should get home.
So many people using these guys piddle fart around with their commitement to working on the site with article writing that they never get to page one and then they blame the SEO person. Find a good SEO dude, do what he says, don't change the game plan and don't cheat and cut corners like "acehealth" did and I think you will get home

I can't spell, I can't write..... and I can't be bothered if you dont like it... got it???

To answer your question they really can't. This is what Google says about the topic:
No one can guarantee a #1 ranking on Google. Beware of SEOs that claim to guarantee rankings, allege a "special relationship" with Google, or advertise a "priority submit" to Google. There is no priority submit for Google. In fact, the only way to submit a site to Google directly is through our Add URL page or by submitting a Sitemap and you can do this yourself at no cost whatsoever.
I guess the reason why people choose to hire an SEO company rather than do it themselves, is probably the same reason why you'd want a lawyer representing you in court - you don't have to have one, you could do it yourself, or you pay someone who knows the industry inside out to help you with it.
I read something interesting the other day that said SEO is never free, it always costs something - either time or money, it's your choice Some agents choose to do it themselves - Chumps, you've done an awesome job with your site. You have a ton of backlinks and it's very clear how much effort you've put into it. If I was an insurance agent, I would hire you.

As many already mentioned, you can't guarantee SEO results--especially since it's not just about keywords.
As for the PR 4 and 5 backlinks, be careful with that--are they guaranteeing there will be no "nofollow" in the link? Because if the HTML link code includes "nofollow" then the link is NOT going to help you at all.
Basically, a page "shares" its PR with you when it links to your page. Adding "nofollow" to the HTML code takes away the sharing and will not at all improve your ranking in search engine results--so it's a waste of time unless the readers of the link are prospects who might click the link.
As far as Get A Freelancer is concerned....I won't say you can't get quality work from them or Rent a Coder or Elance or Guru...but I will say that you generally get what you pay for.
If you want SEO work, I would get some referrals from the other agents on this board or webmasters you know. Content converts visitors to clients, while keyword stuffers simply attract traffic.

Thanks Sunkist, and yes, I have worked very hard on the site (never-ending work to keep pace).
BUT...(This is a big but)...All I do is write, write and write. The SEO technical stuff is handled by other people that know 50x more than I do. As CP said...just do what the SEO experts tell you to do and you'll be fine.

That's probably the most efficient way to do it. I try and convince agents all the time that writing is important, and some of them just HATE doing it. If you enjoy writing and you're good at it - you'll have a much easier time getting rankings.
