How to track down a company......

I have a client that has some old Sun Life of America life insurance policies. She doens't know who bought them out. How do I find this info out? They were out of Baltimore, Maryland. She bought the policies in 1966.

She heard it was sold to met life or monumental. The site you posted is a diff Sun Life. I am actually contracted with that one.

SAI, contact the Maryland DOI or access their web site. As I recall the Sun Life you are referring to was headquartered in Baltimore, MD.

If they were ever licensed to do business in Indiana you can look them up on the Indiana Insurance Commissioner's website. You can also call the Dept of Insurance and have them track them down (if you tell them you don't use the internet.)
