Re: How Would I Start a Life Agency in TX?
Go to Top Not really captive for all that time, but I tried both captive and broker since 1986. I really liked the captive career companies- but sooner or later I would get cross-ways with a manager or two and tell them to go jump in a lake- and I would be out of a job. As a broker, I never found the motivation, so I guess I needed the manager who was a jerk to me. I have trouble being a jerk to me. Ha ha . I took like 15 years off and drove as a courier delivery driver, even owned my own courier company for a few years. When I was running that thing, I really liked being a business owner. Wife made me sell it. So I never really stuck it out with an insurance outfit for more than say, two years at a time. Maybe 6 mos. or a year for most deals. And I took 15 years off, so I am a little misleading with the 25+ years claim, however the whole time I took off to drive, I either kept my insurance license or kept thinking about and/or studying insurance even when my license expired. So that's my life story in a nutshell. |
