I Just Wanted to Introduce Myself

Hello this is a great site for new agents.I got my life/health last year got involved with a very bad company (bankers)and went through some personal issues so i am just now trying to get back in the business but hoping i dont make a mistake on what company i go with this time.thanks for all the advice i will get from this site

Well i guess i am not going to be able to get into the business.I contacted several companies and noone has returned my call and that was over a week ago.these are just some of the companies i contacted liberty national,uig,american income,and there was several more but i guess i will have to look at another direction to go with my career.

Too bad. Maybe things will get better since they can't possibly get any worse. I know you didn't expect this, but keep your chin up. Stay strong. The Titans will win at least five games this year.

As for your career, try calling them back. There's nothing wrong with that. And add a few more companies to the list.

IMO those companies you mentioned are insurers that will hire anyone who can fog a mirror.

I would look at some different companies. Those you listed generally aren't considered to be any better than Bankers.

Try posting on the Life Forum that you are looking for contracting. Several recuiters there.
Look for someone that is more than just a recuiter. someone that can and will answer your "what if' questions. I got a guy that I call the Answer Lady. I can call with just about any prospect question and he can point me to the policy that will work.

Hi There,

I have recently joined this forum as well. A friend of mine introduced it to me.

I have found so much information in this forum and glad I joined.

The insurance industry is a tough business. After 2 years of struggling I determined that I will interview the companies I apply for to see if they fit my needs.

Write out your own interview and when you meet with these companies let them know that you are interviewing them. If they decide to bring you on board which more than likely they will-place them on probation.

If it doesn't seem they are living up to their promises then get out fast!!

Also, do your research on those companies-find out their financial status and talk with more experienced agents.

Regarding United American stay away--far away--I have personally been burned by them and still paying for it.
