Oh gosh, I lost my NWA lyrics. For those of you who don't know, NWA was one of the original rap groups. If you don't know what NWA means, look it up. If you think that Jackson and Sharpton are "doing the right thing" by going after a turd like Imus, and NOT going after other people who, in an art from, promote thuggery, gang and drug culture, and the complete sexification of women, you need look no further than what they have done in the rap community. C'mon, Sharpton with his phony no "n-word" crap? Was he wearing RocaWear or Ecko at the time? Maybe he upgraded to Sean John.
In my school district there are many poor neighborhoods. I've been told by teachers that many of these kids have given up by 5th grade - they don't see success in their world, they only see other people holding them down (just like their parents). Sometimes these are the kids you just want to yank from their parents and put in a positive environment where they could thrive. To leave them there seems emotionally abusive, by society.
And now for your listening pleasure (although it's just the lyrics), I give you this Shakespearian treat, brought to you by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony:
