Can't sell insurance today so I think I got one more post on this subject in me Yesterday when I was going to town, Mike Gallagher's show was on and he kept tripping his callers up with rebuttals such as: If you owned the T.V. station would you fire him and would you want someone to say those things to your daughter? Being a person who has always tried to be open minded about most things I spent a while pondering his question. He was looking for a yes or no answer and it just simply cannot be answered in a yes or no reply.

It all depends on how I originally hired that person. If I hired him to do a sports show and while going over the game he called them a bunch of nappy headed hos, I would fire him before he got his earpiece out of his head, the same as I would if he did anything outside his job description. If on the other hand when I hired him I said Your a shock jock/comedian and as long as you don't break any FCC rules and get me fined I will stand behind you 100%, I could not in good conscience terminate him. If I then gave him boundaries or gave him creative boundaries and he either violated those boundaries or found a convenient loophole I would have to react accordingly. Undoubtly CBS did not give him those boundaries since just last year they gave him a reported $10000000 contract for five years!!

As far as someone saying that to my daughter, I probably would react the same way any Dad would that loves his daughter but I also would not contribute to this sexist and racist argument by allowing my daughter to come home from the mall with dresses up to her ya-ya or allow my son or daughter to listen to that rap-crap on the radio because in my house they don't live under the U.S. Constitution, they live under King John's Constitution!!

they live under King John's Constitution!!
I would not brag about that. In all of English history there was only ONE King John. No other monarch would ever take that name again!! John was a total train-wreck for England. Don't be surprised if one of your kids grows up to be Robin Hood! Read your history!! :-)

I love history but unfortunely I don't give it as much of my time as I used to, thanks in part to the internet,t.v. and other forms of entertainment but your reference to Robin Hood does give me an opportunity for one of my favorite quotes:

Of all tyrannies,a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of it's victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. C.S. Lewis whose books are what the Chronicles of Narnia is based upon

Now you go back to reading some history!!

Not "based on" at all. Lewis is the author of the Chronicles

Now you go back to reading some history!!

I for one really don't want to base my logic on what the likes of a Kennedy says but his V.P.(another of my least favorite presidents said: You know doing what's right is easy, what's hard is knowing what's right

He who dares not offend cannot be honest Thomas Paine, one of our heroes in colonial times even though he also had some ideas that I don't agree with.

It is with a heavy heart that Don %$ died this weekend, he was 76. I remember %$ playing his famous crooner song bubbles or something like that when I was a kid.

Reminds me , I have been playing golf for 30+ years and never got a %$ in one and this past week there have been two $%'s in one on t.v.

I just stumbled on this thread. I think a lot of you need counseling. As far as STI Brokers essay, please. It seems ignorance in this country still runs unchecked. Winter seems like the only one that really thinks.

Maybe this is why when I review a person of color insurance policy they are crap.

If you ever want to really discuss these issues we can talk in person. You will never gain insight by just posting in a forum.

By you (johnrocks)saying get over it. This is just another example to why the world dislikes American white men as a whole. It’s always the ignorant ones that make all the noise that everyone hears.

Oh gosh, I lost my NWA lyrics. For those of you who don't know, NWA was one of the original rap groups. If you don't know what NWA means, look it up. If you think that Jackson and Sharpton are "doing the right thing" by going after a turd like Imus, and NOT going after other people who, in an art from, promote thuggery, gang and drug culture, and the complete sexification of women, you need look no further than what they have done in the rap community. C'mon, Sharpton with his phony no "n-word" crap? Was he wearing RocaWear or Ecko at the time? Maybe he upgraded to Sean John.

In my school district there are many poor neighborhoods. I've been told by teachers that many of these kids have given up by 5th grade - they don't see success in their world, they only see other people holding them down (just like their parents). Sometimes these are the kids you just want to yank from their parents and put in a positive environment where they could thrive. To leave them there seems emotionally abusive, by society.

And now for your listening pleasure (although it's just the lyrics), I give you this Shakespearian treat, brought to you by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony:

BONE THUGS-N-HARMONY LYRICS - Money, Money
