I just had an interesting conversation with a lady who just signed up for Med Plus STM through HII. She was told this company has been around for years. I was honest, I don't know much about this company. Anyone have any experience working with them?

Its a decent short term plan because it gives the client up to 3 Dr visits before having to meet deductible.

ST copay plans are a rip off. With the increased premium built in for those copays, + $35 X 3, you'll find the your actually paying the full cost of 3 doctor visits whether you use them or not.

EX: Goldenrule ST Copay ($179) vs ST NON Copay ($85) with a $2500 ded for 6 months. Who in there right mind would buy the ST copay plan? That works out to $130 PER VISIT

Not true, im familiar with these plans. The copay is $50 for both doctors and specialists. Its a decent plan. 2m cap per person. same as assurant STM except you can use the doctors before the deductible is met

Ya im familiar with GR and their 3 different short term plans. The HII plan is a better value when you put them side by side.
GR was the only STM medical that I used to sell until I recently found this HII.

Copay short term plans just don't make sense to me. You're paying extra for the right to a copay (nothin' for free), or you have higher out of pocket cost. It's one or the other typically. Plus, you can't use the copays on pre-existing or prev care, but u must use them over the next 6 months.

Can u show some example prices of GR non copay and HII copay with same out of pocket risk.

lol Well that would be great but Golden rule would not even cover half of the people STM does let alone the rate difference.

I know this is an old post, but DO NOT go with this company! They misrepresented coverage, my doctor never even heard of this "insurance" nor would accept it. The "insurance" company lied about coverage and would not do anything to help me get the services i needed. I cancelled coverage, but they still continued to withdraw money from my account. Don't make the same mistake I did, this company lies, cheats and steals from consumers.
