Click to Dial on a Landline?

Does anything like this exist? Click a phone number on your computer and it automatically dials out on your land line. If not, someone should create it. It seems like even having a special phone that would connect to the computer could have a simple software option to do so.

Most dialers can call "from" whatever number you want, but it'll actually go through VOIP. Why is it that you want the call to actually physically take place on a landline?

Yep, but it's been discontinued since no one uses landlines anymore. Here's a link. It's cheap since it's been discontinued and there are no monthly fees. THIS WILL ONLY WORK WITH COPPER LANDLINES, NOT VOIP.

Google Voice - In fact I opened my gmail and accidentally clicked a number and it started ringing within Gmail

Sure there's some way to embed a number so it opens in Google Voice

About 20 years ago, they did this with modems hooked up to the computer. The modem would dial the number, you would pick up the phone.

Now, its mostly softphone / IP stuff. The landline thing was always a bit awkward.
