8 people per hour X 4 hours = 32 prospects per day
32 prospects X 5 days = 160 prospects per week
160 prospects X 50 weeks = 8,000 prospects per year
SO just how many people should we be cold calling per hour to get the 8 people that are willing to talk with you?? 8 interested an hour just sounds like a lot
I started this thread in 2/2009 and I am still doing quite well in this business, so it does work. I haven't cold-called in quite a while because I now do commercial insurance and I am very rarely selling med supps. like I was at that time. I believe that when I posted this I was referring to have a actually conversation with folks instead of "not interested" or some other rejection.
Get a good dialer and practice cold-calling in your home and get good at it first. Don't practice on potential customers.
p.s I switched to commercial because it is mainly 8-5 M-F and I find it far more interesting that med. supps.
