Cold Calling Sucks - But It Works

So agents just slap up a website and drive enough traffic to their site to write a fair amount of business? Wow - I never knew it was that simple.

Now you know. Makes you wonder why the carriers haven't already done it and cut agents out of the picture.

Chances of slapping up a website and all of a sudden you start getting all this traffic which generates a lot of leads? Zero.

Chances that if you really know what you're doing and really concentrate on SEO that you'll be able to earn a living off the leads your site generates? Slightly above zero.

For everything else there is learning how to prospect.

I guess cold calling works if you do it long enough. I found it a lot easier when I have people pre-sold on me and call or email me for more information.

The 1985 way of doing business is dead. Check out www.123bizpro.com

The site mentioned above describes all of you who think Cold Calling is an effective way to market.

Brand yourself, master your marketing, and you will never be a slave to any agency and you will never have to worry about money.

Be yourself and succeed.

I'll make a you a deal you can't refuse if your system is halfway decent. You set me up on your system (front the cost), and I'll split 50% of the first year commissions I earn. If your system is any good, you'll make a lot more money under this arrangement. Let me know.

I am just saying there are betters ways of marketing than cold calling.

I used to do the opposite of what my old managers would tell me. I found out through years of experience that most managers are terrible sales people.

It seems like the good ol days of the big brokerage houses and their training are gone now.

To each their own when it comes to marketing.

Frank, I know is probably a beginner question, but how are you cold calling for Med Supps when most people are on the DNC list?

Disclaimer: I did not hear this directly, but from someone close, so it's technically hearsay...

"He pays no attention to the DNC list."

It may be why you didn't get an answer to your question?

Is there any way to block my phone so that the people I call do not see _______ ________ Insurance on their caller ID?

Is that even wise? Is that even legal?

Seriously, I'm getting about one actual answer in about 20-25 calls. I'm thinking that maybe it has to do with our agency name showing up on their caller ID, so they don't even pick up.

Surfy

Depends on the type of website...Insurance Website chance is less than zero...Slap up a porn website and traffic could be coming quickly....No pun intended.

It is not legal. But you could get a personal cell phone and not put up anything more than the basic voicemail ie you have reach 764-2234.
