The system is widely used in the real estate industry. There is nothing wrong in any of the 50 states about calling/texting anyone if that person is/has been a client of your business within the last 3 years or so. I am not an expert on the law, You should research with the FTC with those were the guidelines last time i checked. I would suggest that don't hound them too much and that you make sure is from your internal database of current/former clients and cut them off after the 3 year limit.
