URGENT - Important changes in CE rules in CA effective 2-19-15!

There is a lot of confusion regarding changes in CE regulations in California effective 2-19-15. We want to set the story straight to avoid any further stress on California agents and brokers.

• There are NO CHANGES in any of our courses due to new education laws in CA!!

• The changes in the CE law in CA ONLY APPLY TO online interactive courses NOT self-directed courses!

• All courses at Sandi Kruise Insurance Training are SELF-DIRECTED courses - even if they are taken online!

• All courses and subscriptions you have purchased from us are still valid WITHOUT ANY CHANGES.

• That means with our courses you can still have both the course and the exam open at the same time and refer to the course while taking the exam.

As your CE provider for almost 25 years we are on top of this to make sure that you will not face any last minute surprises. Please do not hesitate to refer to the our website at: CA Law Change 02/15 to see the actual law changes. We are here for you so you can continue to focus your energy on your clients.

The way I'm reading this, is that there are changes for "live" online "webinar" CE courses.

While I got the email from Sandi Kruise Insurance Continuing Education Training, I'm quite sure it applies to WebCE, TestTeachers, and other online CE providers.

Good afternoon, DHK,

I hope your day is going well! TesTeachers is an online provider of continuing education courses. It would be our pleasure to clarify the exact changes that our California Continuing Education courses will go through, this upcoming month.

All California courses will be put into what TesTeachers refers to as a Course Route. This system will control in what order the student can access their reading and examination assignments.

For example, a student would be unable to move on from Section 1, without first completing it. After completing Section 1, Section 2 would then be open for studying purposes.

In addition to this, all exams located in our Continuing Education courses for California will now require a 70% passing grade before moving on to the next section of the course. Much like what is explained above, the student is unable to move forward before passing his or her exam.

These changes will be made on February 19, 2015. All existing California CE students with TesTeachers will be given the new Course Route versions of their courses for free. We are strongly encouraging all existing TesTeachers CE students to finish their CE courses before this date. If they are not finished before February 19, they must begin their studies over in the new format.

I hope this information was clarifying. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us. You can speak directly with a Student Specialist at the following number: 888-422-7714.

Thank you for your time in reading this explanation, and good luck with your studies!

Best regards,
Kimberly- Student Specialist
