Company Asking for Insurance License

Hey, I'm not sure if this is the right place to go but I found this site through google...i am looking to sign up with a lead provider for the first time today and they are requesting i send my insurance license....this company actually called ME, and i like the idea and the price is right so i'm moving forward. But i'm not sure if i should send them by ins license...thoughts?

Some want to verify you are licensed to sell in those states. Netquote does this. I think they want another level of verification to ensure you aren't reselling leads.

i can understand making sure im not reselling if i was purchasing 1,000 leads per month...but what type of business could i possibly start by purchasing 100 leads? haha...i guess my real question is should i have any worries about sending my information and license to this company

They can find it easily without your help. Shouldn't be a big deal.

Why would hesitate to provide a photo copy of your license to anyone who asked your insurance license information?.. It is a matter of public record.

If it's a remotely legitimate lead vendor I wouldn't give it a second thought. Your license info is public record and there isn't really a lot they can do with it. Plenty of affiliates will buy 100 to resell, that's absolutely a concern.

If you have any reservations about sending them public information I wouldn't think you'd want to do business with them at all.

They can just look you by name and get your license # its public information

IDK I've been asked my lic info for each state I got leads in with
several dif vendor

Honestly never gave it a thought not a big deal

I care more about do the leads work

Sending the license copy is NOT a big deal. And, as someone mentioned earlier, the request isn't all that uncommon anymore.
