Enrollment Specialists or Customer Service Reps

Hello everyone. This is going to seem really weird but I will never know if I do not ask. .....

I know that if you sell life and/or health insurance you can do it from home (with lots of researching and studying on how to do it effectively). BUT what about the Enrollment specialist and customer service representative jobs? Can you get a job doing those from home...preferably the customer service one? I have even myself had to call about insurance before and speak to a customer service rep and would love to work doing a job like that. Even though the agents make much more money...just thought I'd explore my options. What companies do you know of that hires home-based customer service reps? TIA;)

I have read in various forums that alot of times you have to have a health & life insurance license in order to be considered or get those jobs. I read somewhere on here where a man said that his wife had to get a P&C license to get the CSR job she had had. I would love to be a CSR for a health and/or life insurance company though working from home. Anybody know of any...?

Find an older agent from one of the name companies like Farmers, Allstate, ect. They generally do not work their existing book of business very well and there can be many cross selling opportunities. If you can find a District Manager with Farmers for instance he/she would be able to help you find an agent that needs such help.

If I was still in that line I would jump at the chance to hire a CSR with licenses that would telemarket my clientele with appropriate products and customer service. Especially if I could call her an Independent Contractor, and pay her commission.

Thanks for the response to my posting and the info. I really appreciate it. I have been searching and searching and calling companies and places I pull up on the internet to ask if they hire their customer service reps as home based positions. I called AAA one day and the lady was called a specialist. She answered the questions I had about the different types of insurance that they have available and even took my info and said that they'd send out an info packet to me. I so was thinking to myself "Gee I wonder if she is working from home. I would love to do what she is doing from home." I didn't ask her, but I am sure going to start calling the big name companies and asking about remote csr positions. I would have a blast doing that! I just gotta keep searching til I find one of them. ;)
