I am putting together a list of questions to ask lead companies if and when I order any. At this point they are not needed but I am working on a plan. These questions are non-internet leads, direct mail. Some of the questions I will ask are:

Who created the leads?
How where the leads generated?
How many agents are getting them?
How old are they? Do they have a date on them?
Return or replacement policy for duplicated leads/never send it in or hang ups?
Cost discounts on quanity?

Should I be asking any more questions.
 
Some additional questions to ask your lead vendor:
  1. How long in same business?
  2. Are the leads exclusive? How long will I have before you re-sell the GEO?
  3. Can you verify the number of lead cards I'm paying to have you send, are being sent?
  4. How will the leads be sent to me? How quickly?
  5. What was the average response rate for the particular lead card last year?
  6. When I call your number, will someone answer?
  7. What type of discount will I get if I order more and start referring you more business?
