At What Point Do You Give Up On A Lead?

hehe ... love the persistence! You are going to do great / I hope I'm never your target!

I spent 4 yrs going after an account in my previous career, and it helped me win an incentive trip.

I never give up, until they tell me to.....
Of course, without being obnoxious pain in the A## salesperson

Till they say "no". I've written business 4 years after the lead came in, more than just one time. For a lot of people the interest is there but the timing isn't. The goal should be to stay in that person's mind when the time comes, so they think of you.

For me, what scares me is the person that has to get covered "right now!" usually there is a big problem with their hurry. They also tend to be flakes who half way through underwriting as all the things pop up, disappear.

I think the average from introduction to app for me runs about 6 months. During that time, I am letting them know I am here, answering questions, presenting options and as several clients have termed it "politely persistent".
