We have not had many of these calls lately, but for many years we would have lots of calls asking if we sold dental insurance.

You can bet your sweet bippy the caller had been to the dentist and had sticker shock.

It happened many times that a grandma wanted to place life insurance on her 14 grandchildren, but thought she couldn't afford coverage on herself.

Both of these situations, we just simply said no.

Had a client that cancelled his (full coverage) auto policy because his lien holder was offering coverage for half the price. Client was in an accident and had no liability coverage and no medical coverage.

The lawsuit against him is pending.

I wrote a blog about health insurance myths.

This is not a comprehensive list, but a lot of the people I talk with think that group insurance and COBRA are better than anything that they can buy on their own.

Also many have misconceptions about preexisting conditions.

I'm going to wait until I get sick or need Health Insurance before I buy it. I don't want to buy it until I need it.

My neighbors, cousins, best friend told me that this would be a good idea and would save me a lot of money. He says I don't need none of them Insurance Agents telling me how to protect myself. He is almost as good as an insurance agent, he once saw something on tv about Insurance. He is saving me a lot of money.

That ain't nutten. I have a prospect who stayed at a Holiday Inn last week and he offered to "train me" he knows so much more than I do about Medicare and Med Supp insurance.

Maybe the two of them should open an agency together.

Common Myth: My Insurance Company is AARP

That one gets me every time. When people have drank the AARP Cool-Aid and think the insurance plans AARP markets are a good deal...that's bad enough. But most of them even think that AARP is their insurance company. They often don't even know their insurance company's name.
