For those of you whom would like to see Radius in Action, see our Webinar post about a Live Demo on Friday, June 11th at 11AM PST.

Most likely we will do another on Friday the 18th at 11AM PST...Just need to clarify schedules. We'll post another link once everything is buttoned up.

No drip email marketing...We have a different plan for email in general, basically an email drop box. Send a an email to a lead / client (what ever the content may be) and bcc your Radius account and the content within the email is placed into your Lead or Client 'Notes' section.

Is anyone here using this system?

We have been using it for a few weeks. Testing it. So far so good. They seem open to suggestions and mods. Interface could look better. I really like the search tags. We needed something we could scan to and to be able to drop pdf and emails to.

I am trying to get some of the companies to send me my books of business in a format that they can convert.

To be honest I am not the least bit techy. I just know what I want it to do.

I do not buy leads, I was looking for something to help me manage and mine my book.

Expanded Commissions & Renewals

Radius just launched our Expanded Commissions & Renewals Calculations by Product within Radiusbob.com. After launching Live June 1st, a number of Radius Agents had asked us to expand upon the way Radius calculates Commissions & Renewals and did we ever. Now when creating a product within Radius you have four options on how to set up your Commission Structure by Product

1. Flat Fee Commission
2. Variable Percentage of Premium
3. Standard Percentage of Premium
4. Commissionable Premium

At launch, Radius was only calculating ‘Flat Fee Commissions & Renewals’, but no matter what line of business you sell, Life, Health, Final Expense, Annuities, Property & Casual or Supplemental, you can create endless products with various commission structures within Radius. But we think the best part is the ‘Override’ feature that will allow you to modify the Commission & Renewal at the Lead and Client Level. After creating the product, if you want to use a ‘Default Premium’ for your products you can and if a special circumstance comes up, then you can modify it at the Lead or Client level which will only be specific to that Lead or Client.

Flat Fee Commission
Example: You sell MedicareAdvantage and are always paid $300 Per Application and $200 Per Renewal.
Commission = $300
Renewal = $200

Variable Percentage of Premium
Use this if your Commission and Renewal Percentage of Premium are ‘Consistent’, but the Premium Varies by Lead and Client.

Example:You sell Life & Health products that pay 10% Commission of Premium and 8% on Renewal

Premium = $400 / Month
Commission = 10% / Month (Radius displays a Potential Commission of $480)
Renewal = 8% / Month (Radius displays a Potential Renewal of $384)

We built in the ‘Default Premium’ which is used how the ‘Standard Premium’ on the product. But as we know, once a beneficiary has completed the application, the premium can change based upon age, gender, health, etc. So at the Lead and Client Level, we gave Radius user the ability to change the Premium which Radius Auto Calculates a new Commission & Renewal total. Very Cool.

Standard Percentage of Premium
Example:You sell Medicare Supplement Plans and while the Premiums are consistent by Plan Name, the Commissions and Renewals have Tier Years Built into payout structure.

Plan F Premium = $153 / Month
Commission = 10% Years 1-3 (Radius displays a Potential Commission of $183.60)
Renewal = 8% Years 4-6 (Radius displays a Potential Renewal of $146.88)

Commissionable Premiums
Example: You sell Property & Casual and for each policy there is a Premium and a Commissionable Premium and you are paid on the Commissionable Premium

Policy Premium = $200 / Month
Commissionable Premium = $150
% of Premium = %8 (Radius displays Potential Commission of $144)
% of Renewal = %6 (Radius displays Potential Renewal of $108)

As you can see, we have taking our time, heard feedback from a number of agents through out the process. We actually got to about 75% completion and went back to the drawing board to incorporate even more feedback into our final solution. Thank you to everyone whom helped us get to this point, both internal and external folks, this is ground breaking because there is NOTHING like this being offered to Insurance Agents within in a Lead Management + CRM Software.

Drip, Drip, Drip Marketing

Today is the Official Launch of the Radius Drip Marketing Module for all Radiusbob.com Agents. Over the past month The Bobs have been crunching code and living off coffee to give Radius Agents the ability to create automatic email campaigns and auto responders to keep prospects and leads engaged. Below are just a few capabilities of the Drip Marketing Module:

1. Create Custom HTML Email Templates
2. WYSIWYG HTML Editor (a simple as using Word)
3. Target Leads by Coverage Type, Temperature, Tags and more…
4. Define Marketing Plans with Specific Delivery Times
5. Auto Responders and much much more…

The Radius Drip Marketing component allows for you to create specific Email Templates that can be delivered based upon the Marketing Plan you configure. The Email Template portion allows you to create specific content such as a Thank You, Follow Up, Reminder or It Has Been a While type of email. The Marketing Plan portion allows you to configure the exact elapsed time you would like these emails to be delivered during the sales process.

We have included one example, but think of it this way

New Lead in Radius Campaign:

Email One:
Email Template – Quote Auto-responder and Marketing Plan – 5 Minutes after New Lead is in Radius
Email Two:
Email Template #2 – Follow Up on Quote and Marketing Plan – 1 Day after New Lead is in Radius
Email Three:
Email Template #3 – Initial Quote Still Good – 7 Day(s) after New Lead is in Radius

Not in theory, but in reality, if you are using the Radius Contact Us / Lead Generator Page on your website, the following can take place:
Prospect Completes Form on Website
Lead Information is put directly into Radius
Email goes to Agent with Lead Contact Information
Email Auto Responder goes out to Lead with a BCC to Agent
Email Marketing Plan kicks in for follow Emails

All of this happens within minutes, now that is AWESOME!

Email Dropbox Is Here!!!!

Today is the Official Launch of the Radius Email Dropbox for all Radiusbob.com Agents. Finally The Bobs have lost their Computer Glow Tan and the fruits of their labor are for you to enjoy. Radius now works together with email. You can Send, CC, BCC, or forward emails to your Radius Account and they’ll automatically be attached to the right Lead or Client:

1. Forward, cc, or bcc an email to your Radius Dropbox Address
2. Each user gets their own personal Radius Dropbox email address.
3. Radius receives the email and attaches it to the right Lead or Client
4. Once the email is attached to the person you no longer have to dig through your email app for important emails.
5. It is almost like Magic…

Radius just got a lot easier to use for the fact that you don’t even have to log in to add a note or comment to a Lead or Client, just send an email, it is that simple!

Now everyone knows that we at Radius use Radius and we have to say that we have falling in love (yeah, we said that) with the Radius Email Dropbox. When we are emailing either our leads or clients, we use our dropbox email address in the BCC field and poof, it shows up in our Radius account under that lead or client. Sending and receiving 100s of emails a day, knowing that we can quick locate all previous emails for specific leads or clients, gives us not only piece of mind, but makes our jobs a lot easier.

In the end, the goal of Radius is to make your job easier and allow you to focus on the real business at hand, putting your clients in the right type of policies.

Now No Credit Card Required for FREE TRIAL!

We are now into our fifth month of being live with Radius (launched June 1st) and have decided to change our minds, we can do that, we own this beast. As of today, a credit card is not required to create a 30 Free Trial Radius Account…No huge news, the AP Wire didn’t pick it up and maybe the spammers on this blog will help, but we feel that is just time to switch over.

Our initial thought process was that since the 30 Day Free Trials is Free and on the 31st day your C/C is charged, actually made for a better user experience with no disrupted service. Now new accounts can jump right in without the fear of having to drop in their credit card information, they’ll just need to update it by the 30th day to prevent account disruption since on the 31st day the account is locked without a credit card or the card is charged. There was a number of agents whom asked about why it was needed and chose not to create an account, while there was plenty whom were not concerned about it at all. Our expectation are that with less requirements we should see more account creations when we compare with and without. Be on the look out for a blog post in March 2011 as that will be the same five month time span. Or maybe in a few weeks we’ll say it opened the flood gates.
