Paper Files + Minimal Paperless - Risking E&O?

My agency started in 1988 with 2 very computer illiterate guys as partners. Mostly paper files with Hawksoft as agency management. One guy retired. Now it's the old guy that's left and me as partners. I would love to go entirely paperless. I think it would streamline our workflow and make us more productive. Plus, I'm worried that we could incur an E&O claim somehow.

I'm looking for any benefits that your agency experienced in going complete paperless to help boost my reasoning for doing so.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
