Does anyone currently work at State Farm? I am wondering what their software systems were called, especially the black and white MS-Dos like one? I was there about three years ago and am drawing a blank!

ECHO = Electronic Communications w/Home Office (or, as an agent in the 1980's called it, "Electronic Crap from the Home Office...)

NECHO = Networked ECHO

The original ECHO system was used beginning in the 1980's as a way to quote Auto, Fire, and the all-important Life. NECHO came along later, and we still use it today for ~95% of functions related to existing policies.
