There's so much focus on SEO. It's important, but don't forget the end goal: getting prospects to your website. So if you can write a guest post on another website that will get you in front of prospects and bring them to your site, it's a good thing regardless of the SEO impact.

I've done guest posts for other motorcycle blogs. People have guest posted on mine. It's just a way to get your name out there, it provides others with content (and it's difficult to write about something every day or week) and a different voice now and again is never a bad thing.
