That is the guy. He sent me 10 Gift Cards to give out.

This is what he said about the gift cards
"the cards can be redeemed for $100 in leads. There is no charge and they are not required to make any additional purchase. However, account activation is required so they will need to use their credit card to activate the account and a $1 charge will be authorized but not charged to their card. This way we can continue to provide leads without interruption if they choose. They will receive email notification before they are recharged. One at 60% depletion and another at 75%. There are no contracts and they will have complete control. They are free to cancel anytime. Everything can be easily managed online. They can also go online to place their leads on hold at anytime."

This is the same as vendors offering free leads. A free lead is worth exactly what you pay for it. One you pay for is, in most cases, not worth much more than the free lead.

"They will receive email notification before they are recharged."

NEVER EVER use a lead company that "recharges" your account. Essentially, you are paying in advance.

One possible exception is Leadco who allows you to deposit an amount of YOUR choice.

Re: Insuranceleads.com             Go to Top

You guys are sure making a good case on how NOT to make money. Insuranceleads.com gives you ample notice....twice before recharging your account $150. As I said in previous post, I have been using them for a whole year and I am very happy with their leads.

A few times in the past, I had Leadco on for $7.95, Vimo on for $4.50 and Insuranceleads on for $3...simultaensly. The same exact lead came to all 3 companies to my email within seconds from each other. It is all the same crap...some good crap and some bad crap. The real question is how much do you want to pay for your crap? I have chosen the $3 buck chuck and have built a healthy book of business off of it.

I still use Leadco, A.S.A.P and a few other lead companies sporatically. My mainstay, however, is my $3 buck chuck. Good price, good flow, and keeps me from spending to much time on this forum.

Do not let the $150 recharge keep you away. If you can get 3 policies from each $150 like I do you will make them your mainstay like I do.

If you do not want to take any chances with the recharge, sign up with your first $150 and then go in and change the last 3 numbers of your credit card until you are ready for a recharge. I do that with LEADCO.

"The same exact lead came to all 3 companies to my email within seconds from each other."

Very telling.

Of course...as Moonlight has always stressed...ROI is the key, no matter how rotten some of the leads may be.

RE InsuranceLeads.com....Very diverse opinions...I guess I will have to find out myself!

Yes, makes you think twice everyday about having multiple lead companies turned on at the same time.

The nice thing about the $3 leads is that if it comes in at the same time as an $8 lead you have only spent $11 for that lead vs. $16 or even worse.

I no longer will have more than 2 lead sources turned on at the same time. My $3 Insuranceleads.com is the one constant while the others are on and off throughout the day.

My ROI is about $9 to every $1 spent amongst all my lead sources. I never buy exclusive leads from anyone because I cannot trust that they are truly exclusive. I prefer to put my knowledge and personality up against the other agents who share the leads. The best agent will win and I just need to be the best 1 out of every 10-15 leads.

It is a numbers game and always will be.

Re: Insuranceleads.com             Go to Top

Chumps, I dunno....relying on the BBB is like Ripoffreport.com, they both are scams.

I've in the past worked for a relocation services company, that had an A rating with the BBB. They had terrible customer service, so that rating meant jack.

I think the real question to ask is this:

Why does Sydney have success with them, and other's don't?

What is this agent doing differently?

Another thing, to consider is this....this is a message board ....most posts on any message board are about problems....

My wife won't sleep with me....
My leads suck.....
My GA sucks.....
B2B sucks......
Telemarketing sucks.....

You get the picture....

That's why I always take what anyone say's on a forum with a grain of salt, until I understand the whole picture.

For instance, if someone told me InsuranceLeads.com leads suck

I would ask why?

How do they suck?

Are they a bunch of incentivized leads?
Uninsurables falling through the cracks, not getting credited?
Are they being robodialed first, so you only can contact the dregs?

Re: Insuranceleads.com             Go to Top

I'm new to the forum. I tried Insuranceleads.com and have received 12 leads in 8 working days. I have scheduled 2 appoinments and they've credited me back 4 of the original 12 because of bad phone numbers and bogus email address. Closed a 100k fixed prospect- 7k commish, more than offset my 400.00 investment. So far so good.

I think it's important to view these leads as a secondary source of prospects, as has been stated by others [Syndney] Good advice. I also conduct dinner seminars [very expensive] but high-ticket buyers. I plan to try multiple sources.

I only sell annuities, fixed and fixed-indexed, and although the prospects mentioned they were called by several brokers, I'm happy w/1 in 10 closing ratio. Lower your expectations, and if you're good on the phone, you'll establish rapport. Plus I'm registered, and work for a broker-dealer, so credibility seems to sell. Back to work.

That's not accurate. They offer $200 worth of free leads with matching promotion, which is available to anyone who signed-up on site and deposits up to $200. Basicaqlly you get $400 worth of leads if you deposited $200. The $100 gift card, you get without any deposit, but this card is not available to every one, I think ththey are distributed at conventions, through GA's, MGA etc.,

You might be right. By the way...I'm staying away from them for now. An "F" rating from the Better Business Bureau was the deciding factor along with some opinions provided by trusted Forum members.

I'm new to this forum, but I have to chime in here before anyone else wastes his/her time and money on "insuranceleads.com". I've been receiving leads from different insurance companies and MGA's. I wasn't too thrilled with them, but doing Ok. I wanted to increase my business, so I signed up for insuranceleads.com, and I can't believe that they are in business. When I actually speak to someone, and I tell them the reason for my call, they hang up immediately-a sure sign that I'm the 20th agent to call them. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT spend your money with these guys.

^I guess that depends on your area too. I have insuranceleads.com and I have about 3-4 other agents in my area that get the same leads I do and it just depends on how fast it gets to my phone email, to be the first caller.

I deposited $200 about a month ago and got the $200 bonus and my account is down to ~$215.....I just received my first sale from this service with a $83/month premium.

This shouldn't be anyone's main source of business but it can supplement whatever other marketing strategies you are using.

So...it sounds like your ROI is about 1-1. I know it's early, but I assume you expect much better results.

You may want to let the dust settle a little and call the next day, or day after that.

In my experience, you might miss a slight few, but the people that jump at the first call tend to turn out as lousy clients anyway...

Assuming this policy gets approved it will be just above 2:1....its still early so I could get 1 or 2 more. Honestly, Im not even sure if I'll re-up my account when it gets low.

I think if I can get 1 or 2 more sales I will keep it....we'll see

Yes, I joined forum a few months ago. I comment about them first, because; 1st., it's their thread, second, I replied to your incorrect statement about their promotions and gift card program. I don't care about BBB rating. BBB playing their own games. I know insuranceleads.com, I buy leads from them, I referred others and they always did good by us.
