Around 21 B USD could be saved by enabling seamless patient tethering of data to understand his medical history and comply with his medicine intake.

30% of provider time is spent on transacting through portals and messages to advice patients. Its time we bring a business model to incentivize the provider time spent on interactions. Proactive USB solutions to records and monetize doctors time should be consumed as a service by administrators of primary care. Physical visits cost primary care the most with usage of devices and routine samples before access to physicians.

There is a world of opportunity here if we are able to handle few adoption barriers in terms of integration and mindset.

A revolution is waiting in US healthcare which is under tremendous pressure...

EHR was supposed to address a lot of this. So far the payback, either in monetary measures or better health outcomes, has not materialized.

And then there is the security issue.

Increased use of the internet to transmit records, claims, patient interaction, etc creates more opportunity for hackers to access PHI. It's difficult enough when professionals, bound by HIPAA rules, are careless and provide ready access to intruders. Expanding the reach to consumers who are generally more careless and not subject to HIPAA rules are introduced to the mix.

Your cause may be noble indeed, but this is just like government seeking to make things better and the result is they have only made it more costly and less secure.

Appreciate your discussion.

EMR was a mixed bag of impact. The efficiency has improved but since due to multiple work flows existing in provider networks the usage for renemuration and other system of records bound activities are limited.
