Can you send me your input on AIM also please? I'm an agent in Texas and have only sold 3 of these AIM products so far. Since I have a physical office/agency here in the town I was born and raised in, I certainly don't want to take any chances on selling something that can give me a black eye with my customers or our community. Thanks in advance!

Doesn't sound inviting.
Wow, this thread is still alive. Bob, are you sure that you didn't mean AMLICO was taken over by Drek instead of Trek?

BTW, drek is a Yiddish word that is the equivalent of the French word merde.

Merde translates into English as feces.

AIM is a marketing organization. AMLI - American Medical and Life Insurance Company of NY is the insurance company. AIM does not underwrite, they only sell the product. Check with your DOI for AMLI and the DOI where they are domiciled (NY) for complaints, etc. If you need to get licensed to sell the product, you may contact me by e-mail. I am a GA.

The AIM product is still not filed in Georgia (and probably a bunch of other states). Tell me why anyone would want to align with this product?

Re: IRG/AIM Health Solutions             Go to Top

I personally have emails from Louis De Luca, one of them being, "I am working on getting you a formal answer form our attorneys, I will call you later in the day". I asked him for a sample policy on the AIM product and he gave me s policy with name of "Perfect Health Insurance Company" on it (formerly anthem i believe). I asked him how that company can sell in all 50 states when they are only licensed in NY. Basically, the master contract holder that the plan is wrrten on is the Association. Once someone becomes a member of the Association they rae eligible to buy any plans being offered by the Association.

I dunno, i didn't sign up. Personal choice.

I am located in AZ.

Outstanding first post, IBSINS.

Looking forward to having you share your extensive knowledge.

You can start by enlightening us on what qualifies as creditable coverage under HIPAA rules.

You might want to brush up on U.S. geography. I have not been able to find Conneticut on any maps. Perhaps it is one of the 57 states Obamaman visited on the campaign trail.

Its a group health plan -thats a HIPPA qual.

Additionally - you must excuse the spelling

Louis Delucas father is a senator - ins. boards etc.

AIM is acutally a terriffic program...

I've had significant claims paid...

Just open the door in your mind that its legitimate and you'll indeed see that it is...

That being said - most assoc. group plans use the association for regulatory ease...

I dont claim to be an expert - but you must be

No, it isn't.

Your point is?

most assoc. group plans use the association for regulatory ease...
Most association plans, operating under the guise of a group plan, are illegal in most (if not all) states.

IBSINS: You are posting like a moron. Don't take on the vets in the forum and who cares if you think AIM is great, nobody here does. Go sell and pay for your AIM plan and make a life of it. Its still a pile of crap.

Re: IRG/AIM Health Solutions             Go to Top

I am in Utah and recently was contacted by an agent I know and told to get appointed with this plan to sell to people that want to use it for hospital stays (like maternity, etc). He said to use it as a supplemental plan like Aflac.

The first thing I questioned was the brochure didn't have the name of any insurance company. The appointment paperwork mentioned AMLI & GLI depending on the state I wanted to contract with, but the consumer brochured didn't. Their "AIM HEALTH PLANS DOT COM" website does mention AMLI and GLI but not the brochure. I called my DOI and they had plenty of AIM companies, but said to call the company and ask about the insurance companies. I called the company and they said it was GLI & AMLI but had no answer as to why it wasn't on the brochure.

I would love to get the "private information" that was mentioned at the top of this post.... I would love to know why I should "Run" not walk to the nearest exit

Limited Benefit Plans have their place in the insurance biz.

If someone can't qualify for traditional Health Insurance - wouldn't you agree that "something is better than nothing" ?

I mean hell even a Discount Card is better than nothing if it saves the client more money than what they spend on the plan itself . . .

Don't hate the players - hate the game!

I actually offer IAB Benefits Limited Medical Benefit Plans, so I was saying it somewhat tongue and cheek.

Greg, AMLI stands for American Medical and Life Insurance Co. of NY. GTL is Guarantee Trust Life. AIM (Association of Independent Managers) is the Association and marketing organization. IRG, LLC is administration, enrollment, billing and commissions. The defined benefit plan underwritten by AMLI and marketed by AIM is an excellent alternative to M/M for those who cannot qualify or afford. If you you have any questions, feel free to call me. My contact information is listed below. One warning: AIM and IRG are getting lots of volume and have added a number of new staff to handle the increase. Therefore telephone messages are slow to respond and hold times are long.
