Well that is why its called faith my friend. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. I know it has happened and I am telling you myself I have been healed. You just dont want to believe it. I pray that God will allow you to see a miracle in your life, and when he does you are going to be ashamed of the way you talk now. You will look back on it and feel grieved just as I did. Anyway I do agree with you that organized religion is a huge problem. I go to a nondenominational church and we dont follow any passed down religious ordinances. We follow the Word of God, and by his spirit we are moved. Its the best thing to ever happen to me and I am so thankful to have Jesus in my life. I never knew how empty I was without him until I found him. I truly hope you experience this someday.
I am truly grateful that you think enough of me to pray for me. Believe me that I am sincere in this appreciation.
We are obviously at different ends of the "god" question however, let me wish you a very merry Christmas and best wishes for a healthy and happy new year.

"Every year I prayed for a bike. Then I figured out that wasn't how it worked so I stole a bike and prayed for forgiveness."
When you discovered that worked for you, is that when you decided to become an insurance agent?

18 But someone may say: So you have faith and I have good deeds? Show me this faith of yours without deeds, then! It is by my deeds that I will show you my faith.
It is not good to be blasphemous.
But faith is the virtue by which we know G-d and deeds are the virtue by which we show faith.
You also dont need to profess you know G-d, you shall be known by your deeds.
Jesussaid "Prayin a Closet - not like the priests who pray to show off"

Happy New Year guys
Wow! What translation is that? Is that the NASV. New agent standard version. Wouldn't they be considered closet Christians?
"2,000 years ago I'm sure there were many good people promoting the "word" of god. Jesus is likely one of them. "
Jesus can not just be one of "many good people" promoting the word of God. Since Jesus claimed multiple times to be God, he is either a liar or a lunatic. Don't know too many liars I would consider to be good people. How about you?

I've lied before and I'm not a good person. Have you EVER told a lie? Are you a good person?
There is a third option, why did you not include it? Suppose Jesus is who He claimed to be?
Three questions there for you. You have freewill to answer or not, to believe what you wish, and I have the freewill to sincerely wish for you the best that you can get in this life.

...she appears to be a most defenceless animal; and even when those weapons are shewn and extended for her defence, they appear weak and contemptible; but their wounds however small, are decisive and fatal:—Conscious of this, she never wounds till she has generously given notice, even to her enemy, and cautioned him against the danger of treading on her.—Was I wrong, Sir, in thinking this a strong picture of the temper and conduct of America? -- Benjamin Franklin
Why would anyone try to convince someone believing in something that doesn't exist is a good thing?
If I tell you that praying to a doorknob will bring salvation, you'd say I had a mental illness. Belief in god is no different.
Also, what happened to the Dodger bullpen? Torre was a genius in NY - in LA he doesn't know when to pull a pitcher.

Rick, one day you are going to meet your maker, and when that happens I pray not to a doorknob but to the King of Kings, that you will have accepted Jesus and then like myself before I got saved you will feel pretty lame for every making these comments.

Or more likely, I'll just be as dead as everyone else.
