Great article by Sally Quinn in Washington Post about how Christianity is now THE recognized religion in the US... as written in a formal resolution of the US Congress.

No doubt that Gov. Huckabilly who is hoping to ride the "Christian wave" to become President Huckabilly, is looking for real estate to start a string of concentration camps... probably called Huckawitz... where he will send all the Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, and Hindus in America. (Um... before you go postal about the previous sentence... read your history and see what a "good Christians nation" did to Japanese citizens in the WW2 years.)

I don't agree with liberal Dems on much... but I'm going to stand side by side with them (even join MoveOn.org!) against this guy if the people in Iowa are stupid enough to vote for him and give him a victory.

And if Huckabee got elected (same chances of me getting elected) how would he get Congress to go along with his beliefs? The Japanese treatment in WW2 occurred after the Pearl Harbor attack and times are different with our digital media age. You don't think some people wanted to round up the Arabs after 9/11? That doesn't play too well on Youtube.

And just in case Congress would pass any type of legislation restricting certain religions there's something called the Supreme Court.

Huckabee's gonna try and mess with Jews? Lol. Good luck.

I thought the Constitution prohibited sending US citizens to prison camps because of their ancestry... but we were all wrong on that one!

If Huckabilly is elected, I suggest you run to your nearest church, have them sprinkle you with some water and MAKE SURE you get a letter of "Creditable Baptism Coverage" which will become the national "keep out of jail" card.

I didn't read that bill the same way you and Sally Quinn did. It merely states that the majority of Americans are Christians so lets knock off all of this happy horsefeathers about celebrating Christmas being some type of establishment of state religion or something. Christmas is freakin Christmas not "winter break" , "holiday whatever". I would like to see democracy and religious freedom for all religions in some of the wacko countries, but accept the fact that if Islam is the predominant religion that they don't have to stop pretending that and calling Ramadan "season celebration" or something goofy like that.

The constitution does prohibit the establishment of a state religion but it does not create an obligation for the state to hunt down any public signs of religion and eradicate them. Secular humanism is also a form of religious belief and the state should not be used to enforce that religion upon others either.

You worry way too much. Huckabee would be OK, he's just rubbing you the wrong way now. Statements that presidents and candidates make never represent their views; they represent their campaign plans. He's not a religious nut, he just plays one on TV.

I just read that the town of Great Barrington, Mass is no longer having Christmas lights. From now on they are to be known as "holidays lights." Does this mean that we will be having holiday lights on the fourth of July too?

Late breaking news! After I made that post, I did a google search to see how that controversy was coming along. Turns out that the christmas lights that became holiday lights have been banned by the town because the lights and electrical use contribute to global warming. No lie!

Is this a great country or what. You need a software program to keep you up to date on what is politically correct this week.

Well, if you read history and take a non-Christian viewpoint, it's true! No denying it. Christians HAVE caused far more injustice on a larger scale than any other religious bloc that I can think of. The Muslims come close, but don't measure up to the Spanish Inquisition... which is the gold standard of Christian injustice.

Elijah represents the Messianic days when there will be no war and people will not have to fear each other.

Others point out historically, that the door is opened to show everyone outside that Jews do not in any way use the blood of Christians for Passover, often called the "blood libel," but in order to reassure children and not frighten them during the Seder during the Middle Ages. To "cover" this ritual, we send children to the door to open it for Elijah the prophet.

I don't care for Huckabee, mainly because of his liberal slant or the reality of it even now he is running from it. Much like Clinton, they both drank from the same well when they grew up together in Hope.

Yet for this Christian bashing and the Spanish Inquistion? Wasn't that Catholic Church (worst part of their history with corrupt Pope's) Vs Christians of other Churches? I mean that is like crazy talk. As far as the Christian Religion being so meanhearted just doesn't stand any test. In fact, USA today is so tolerant of others because of our Christian Values. Unlike religions of the middle east that seem to be truly blood thirsty. I can sit here and twist history around Al, and the Jewish people can easily be laid to blame for all sins of the world if I twist enough facts to suit me as you do against Christianity.
