Can anyone recommend a good lead tracking software? I am not looking for a CRM. I am looking for a software program that will track, distribute/re-distribute our leads among agents. Something that has a "admin" page for me to login and see what everyone is doing with their leads, view reports etc. and then a seperate login for each agent to view/manage leads, progress reports etc. I have looked at Leads 360 but they are a bit too expensive. Any suggestions would be great. Again, I am not looking for a CRM (ie:Salesforce or YIO) but instead a lead tracking software.
You can do everything you want to do with SugarCRM... and a whole bunch of others... but you say you don't WANT a CRM. I'm not quite sure why, but I'm sure you know what is best for your operation. I don't know of anything else out there. Maybe ACT?

I am really looking for a software program that will manage all of our leads, distribute them to agents, redistribute them, provide me with reports etc.
Just got off the phone with them. They are sending me all the info. The Sugar Professional edition is what I would need and it is $480/per user per year which I think is a good deal, especially in comparison to Leads 360. Thanks so much for the help.

It will do what you are asking and will send you management reports telling you what is happening with the leads. I've used it for years as a one-man show so I don't use those features bbut I know that other companies really like it for that.
It's expensive but I may have a license available soon at a discount because I am trying out I-Relay.
I've tried Act, Norvax, Net-Lead and all have limited capabilities. I've been using VAM dB Free CRM Database Life Insurance, it's the best system I've found for lead, policy, and commission tracking.
Funny thing about this is it all depends what you are really trying to do. Pen and paper works for me, more efficient than any automated system, and that's coming from a total geek.
Suggestions here will be limited since you don't really give a problem statement. Lead tracking for a life agent is a bit different than a P&C agent. It's different if you are responding to direct mail vs internet leads. It's also significantly different if you have multiple agents or only a single agent.
My suggestion is to always start with what it is you want to accomplish with the software. Out of the 10 things that you need, prioritize them A's, B's and C's. Find something that will do 80% of your A's and B's, that's probably about as close as you can get. You're list will be different than everyone elses.
Okay, for me, something that ties into Clue, vin decoders, able to pull an MVR report in a single click, all very important things, unfortunately, doesn't happen. I've had to compromise a bit..... I struggle to find something that automates followup emails correctly, based on current status, without a lot of personal interaction.
Oh well, back to my pen and paper.

P.S. Check out Agency IQ (net-lead.net). Pretty straightforward, manages leads well, email autoresponder built in, lead import built in, biggest hold back for me is it doesn't do word doc style letters. Oooppss, that's an A priority for me.
