I've got three words for you...

Group Term Life

You might find a carrier for individual, but its your best bet.

Group term will increase in cost as he hits 55, 60, 65 years old.....what happens if he leaves the group? A diabetic with good control can get a standard risk class.

Most easy terms will take them if they haven't used insulin before 50 but if they have used insulin, then you will want to go with a company that table rates based on their history. It just depends on each person ... i have several declined but most of them have been approved.

If you do the work ahead of time, you should know exactly what will work and what won't instead of putting in apps and hoping for the best. Easy term is just an easy way of saying Table 4-6 rates. A diabetic with good control should be able to get standard rates with several major insurance companies.

How's it controlled? Insulin? Metformin? Diet and exercise? Sunshine and puppies?

(Heck, if he just wants a hundred dollars of term life, I'll insure him myself - it'll cost you $75 a month. Warning: I have an awful claims payment record)

Well,Getting insurance as a diabetic is difficult, but not impossible. Life insurance policies for diabetics can be hard to obtain but they are still available. A diagnosis of Diabetes means many new challenges in your life, not the least of which is trying to obtain life insurance. Good Luck.........

DIABETES are easy to help with life insurance. If it is just a pill, then I can sell them normal insurance and if it is insulin, then I can do a normal whole life plan.

Most diabetics have other medical issues as well as diabetes. I place several cases a year and uw is all over the place.
