It's probably stands for "Life Annuity Specialist"... which doesn't exist as any kind of designation.
I wouldn't work with anyone who promotes any kind of fake credentials just to puff themselves up. It's kind of the same way I feel about people who put RIA after their name. RIA is a form of business and licensing, but it is not a designation.

On a serious note. He made that designation up. Kind of like the term "Fiduciary Life Insurance Agent". Total fantasy other than in their own mind.
Those two might want to check the state DOI laws to see what the penalty is for holding yourself out to be something that you are not and that doesnt even exist.....
