Medical Insurance Cancelled Due to Life Insurance Policy?

Im on here doing some research for my aunt who is disabled and has cancer. She recently recieved a letter that her medical insurance is cancelled due to her having a life insurance policy. Can anybody help me understand why this happened?

Is she on Medicaid with a life insurance policy with a cash value over $2,000.?

She did have medicaid and yes the value is over 2000. But what im not understanding is why her life insurance has anything to do with her medical insurance. She has had this policy for many years and has never had a problem.

The cash value grows over time. The cash value must've recently grew to more than $2,000. When that happened, it affected her Medicaid.

First Medicaid is not medical insurance it is a safety net for the poor and is asset and income based.
