i want to get licensed to sell life insurance in the state of PA. my primary is in new jersey but i have a couple properties i own in PA as well (investment homes)

after completing my exam, would i have an issue taking the state exam with a NJ drivers license? or will i apply as a non resident? sorry for the ignorance...

Also PA is a pre-appointment state where you need to get appointed with the carrier before you write business. From my experience, give it 2 weeks for appointment.

Yup, DHK is right. You can apply for NJ and then get a non-resident license in PA.

With the GA I work for, usually the contracting is pretty fast within 24 to 48 hours but the trade off is that you need to have submit a new application first before you get a contracting offer from the carrier.
