Structured Properly

Hey guys!

I read through these forums pretty regularly since starting in November.

I keep seeing people say that a WL policy works best if it is "structured properly".

Can someone explain what that means?

Thank you.

For me, "Structured Properly" means funding a given WL death benefit up to the MEC guidelines to maximize cash value accumulation and growth.

With the illustrations I run, if I minimum fund a WL policy with a given death benefit, it will "break even" in about 30 years (when cash values = premiums paid).

If I maximum fund a WL up to the MEC guidelines, the same WL policy will grow faster and it will "break even" in about 10 years (20 years sooner).
