Talked to a client. Asked me about life insurance when we finished his Med Supp review. He is 66. Heart attack 17 years ago. They did balloon surgery. No problems since. Takes a baby aspirin and simvastatin.

According to him, all levels are normal (per doc from annual physical). 5-10/200

I asked him how much, he said he could budget $200-$250 per month.

So, we are going to meet in the next few weeks, $$$ from policy is for his 2 daughters.

So, thoughts?

Any chance a fully UW Life Co gives him Standard rating for UL or WL?

Go simplified issue first... then compete for FU (Fully Underwritten or F*** U - if they get declined...)

UHL I hear has great liberal underwriting.

Assuming everything is as you've described and he has suggested, should be an easy std issue through anyone with a table shave.

Up to my knowledge...
These are the carriers that would work with you with that type of condition...

Lincoln Life
John Hancock (good with LBBB: Complete/incomplete – possible Standard)
Principal
MetLife
Protective (good with young cardiac clients with MI/Angioplasty/CABG; especially those under 40)
Prudential

I think you have a good chance for standard or maybe even better on a guaranteed UL. Good cardiac follow-ups, good build, good labs etc. will all work in your favor. I don’t think you can meet his budget, however, if you want a lifetime guarantee - even with aggressive underwriting.
