Where to Put Him?

Have a client that was told by Lincoln to come back in a year due to his TM transverse myelitis because they wouldn't insure him now (says the agent, possibly because his premiums would crash his vul too soon)

I'm looking for $250,000 10-15 year term policy. His tm was 6 months ago. Should I be shopping this around or wait 12 months past the tm?
Thank in advance.

Per both Swiss re and Gen Re underwriting manuals - If the cause is unknown (which frequently is) there is a 1 year postpone from date of recovery due to possibility it can degenerate into residual paralysis. Or if the case is known, still want to see documentation of verified full recovery with no residuals.

Sometimes it comes down to enough documented followup to prove full recovery. From Lincoln's reply, kinda sounds like cause was unknown and he's just in a universal postpone period.

Ah, thank you very much. Don't want to put him through the shopping ringer if I do t have to. I guess we will wait. Thanks again.
