Tons of leads companies, but none that I can brag about. If they are good one day, they suck the next.

Term Life Insurance - Quotes From the Best Life Insurance Companies in America has been good for us. They charge $6 for leads under 40 years old and $30 for leads over age 40. We've had some pretty nice cases come out of their leads and have been using them for a few years now. Our ROI is probably somewhere around 10:1 to 12:1, but a "good lead" will always depend on what you make of it too.

I have never had much luck with online leads but heres my theory. Do a search for the lead you want in the area you want on a couple of different search engines and the lead company you see first on page one should theoretically be the best but, then again some companies services are just plain terrible. you will never get 100% positive feedback on any lead company. The problem with leads are that the person requesting the quote gets about 10 or more calls from different agent. there is no such thing as a true exclusive lead unless you produce it yourself.

We've also had good success with insuranceleads.com because of the filtering. We're paying $22/lead for people over age 55 with a request for $250,000 or more death benefit, and we've limited the areas to zip codes around us so we can meet with people in person. Makes for some decent 4-figure cases in almost every situation if you can sell them.

That's true, but it doesn't hurt to buy additional leads if you're getting a good return on them.

This is so true! A lot of agents never ask for them either.

Dgoldenz - with insuranceleads.com do you find that the client has been bombarded by other agents in your area? Are you in an urban area?

Yes, they seem to be getting a lot of calls. We try to keep it local so we can set up an appointment to try to set ourselves apart from the other agents. Average premium on the insuranceleads.com cases has been ~$3500 with the filters we're using. Closing ratio is not as high as budgetlife, but average premium is higher since it's still possible to end up with someone 41 years old who wants $100k for 10 years (~$150 premium) on a $30 lead (soon to be a $45 lead) with budgetlife. That's the only real negative from them.
