[FONT=&quot]I've seen some of the posts discussing where to sell an insurance policy. Anyone have recommendations on reputable firms to invest in life settlements?

Yes I have a recommendation. Reg D accepted by the SEC in Oct 2010. Operated under the oversite of the former General Counsel of the Texas Department of Insurance. Funds escrowed in a $3B highly rated custodian. [email protected]

There are a lot of people pitching funds and investment products in the life settlement space. You first have to decide if you want to invest in fractional life settlements or a true fund structure.

If you start looking at a product, you should make sure to ask "How were the policies originated?" "Was a licensed life settlement provider used?" "Who was the provider?" "Any of the policies premium financed or settled during the contestability period?"

All these are basic questions that any manager shouldn't have a problem answering.

Also do a quick search on all the companies to see if there have been any litigation against them and why.

With the proposed change in the JOBS act, you should start seeing more groups turn to public marketing.

Good info fellas. We have a lot of agents to assist so we're grateful for any info you guys provide on this topic. Dave

A life settlement consists of the cash sale of an individual’s life policy to a third party.Life insurance policies that have been maintained are very valuable towards the end of life…Creative alternatives to selling a policy should be your top priority before making any decisions
